Revision services are often confusing for many students. You know that you need help, but don’t how to ask for it or what we need from you. This post will describe different types of revision and what you need to send for each.

• Copy editing

This is the lightest form of editing. This is what you request when you’ve looked at a paper so many times, you can’t tell where the commas go anymore. For this type of editing, we need the completed paper and the information that you are looking for a copy edit. The paper you will receive will be very like the one you sent, with grammar, spelling, and formatting corrections, but no new research or writing.

• Content editing

This type of editing will include limited structural changes, but no new writing or research. This kind of editing may include moving sentences and paragraphs around, and other significant layout changes, along with corrections to spelling, grammar, and formatting.

• Rewriting

This type of change will mean all new writing but no new research. All sentences will be rewritten, but there will be no new research.

You should have seen one of the themes: editing does not include new research. Additional research always means new writing, so be aware of that when making an order.
