You may not know it but there is an overabundance of bargains and discounts available exclusively to students which provide huge opportunities to purchase top grade equipment, software and other stuff cheaply. Having state of the art equipment and the latest software really does ease the burden of writing assignments and doing presentations.  If you are looking at graduating in the near future you would be foolish not to purchase all you can while you can still get a bargain. I am not talking about a few cents off your bus fare!

Microsoft, and many other software manufacturers provide massively lower prices for students, and the student products are as good and comprehensive as any other packages. So what exactly can you get super cheaply that you would have to pay heaps more for if you wait until you leave school? Some of the software packages available exclusively to students at low prices are Microsoft Office 2010 for $80 for students, Windows 7 Professional upgrade for $30, AutoCAD 2010 student edition $196 dollars – a saving of nearly 4000 dollars. You’ve gotta be crazy if you use this software and haven’t bought it. For photographers and artists, Photoshop lightroom for students and teachers is only $90.

It isn’t just software either. Almost every major bank offer low or nil rates and fees for students on savings and checking accounts and services, and low interest rates on credit cards too. Bargains on student airfares and accommodation are also easy to find for that holiday when all the term papers and essays are finally done! It pays whenever you are purchasing a product or service to ask about student rates. Although you will find student discounts almost everywhere they aren’t always openly advertised. If you don’t see a student discount advertised no-one will fault you for asking and you could save hundreds or thousands of dollars.
